Eric! Thanks for the invite! So you know Stephen...good guy! Thanks for the compliment...I really do miss that Disco. It was the beginning to the addiction. I sold it JUST after getting ALL the leaks sorted....haha

Good talking with you as well. I checked into financing through road--- and they sent a package out. Lease is up on September 27th and LR Capital is extending 3.9% financing on used CPO LR3's for 60 months through the end of september, ... so I will probably ride out the lease and see if I can buy a low mileage 06 LR3. Say hello to Paul for me.

Hey Erich, I look forward to belonging to to British Rover. Looks like you have a LWB. I just bought my 95 LWB a few months ago. One owner vehicle. Needs some work so I am looking for advice before I start the project. I just restored my 95 Defender after four years. My daily driver is an 2004 Disco 4.6. Thanks for the email

Thanks Goatal, and, especially thanks for inviting me to the web site. It is very weel done and professional. Also, another thanks for your weekly help for me at the auctions I attend. Don't forget here in the Ozarks it would be impossible for me to find anyone with more Rover knowledge than you.

well, when I got the truck I noticed that the rear defrost didn't work...Floridians don't likely use rear window defrost all that often. so when I looked at it I could see that when the tint was installed the rear window grid was cut where the tint went around the electrode to the rear window. so I grabbed my handy soldering iron and some solder and went to "fixing" it. well, I couldn't get enough heat into it to efficiently melt the solder. so the next day I stopped by an auto parts store and found that they actually sell a metallic paint designed to fix this problem. I bought some and repaired the window that night. the next morning, I'm going to work and it is easily minus 35 C outside. driving along, all of a sudden BANG I pull the truck over its running well, I jump out have a look at all body panels, look at the under carriage, look at the tires, nothing! And then, I look at the back window...it is little sugar cubes held together by the window tint! Apparently, not enough heat for the low melting solder but enough to take the temper out of the glass. so instead of just replacing the glass I decided to upgrade to the aluminum frame and be done with it. All is good now...

Hi Erich, All is well here....the "new" LWB is awesome. I have only done a few little things to spruce it up a bit. I put a new alternator in it shortly after getting it just because the voltage was a little lower than I would like. Some H4 Hellas, OME shocks, an OME steering dampener, an upgraded blower motor resistor, and new rear window/upper tailgate...it didn't need a new upper tailgate but it did need a new window...ooops thats a long story best told over a beer! Hope all is well with you and Brit Rover.

Defender 90 Station Wagon on Display at Datascope Sales Conference in Fort Lauderdale

We were contacted by Nicholas Barker and his colleague Emma at Datascope about having a Rover to be displayed at there annual sales conference in Fort Lauderdale. Always eager to help out and have a little publicity, we accepted. They provide all sorts of medical gear for surgeons like balloons, catheters, cardiovascular pumps, etc. All the fun stuff you never want to utilize, but glad to have if needed. The other ironic thing about this company is that they are literally neighbors to LRNA in Ma… Continue
