I just found this. I live in Jupiter. I love the site! Are a lot of the guys here from the FLRC forum? Or is everyone mostly from down south?

Anyways, I am in search of a cheap 2004 tcase (need the CDL). If you know of any can you let me know? Currently I am searching on car-parts.. Wish me luck, I have a lot of calls to make this week.

Look for a burned up LT230 t-case. You'll get a cheaper price. Then you just have to switch the front cover out for the one on yours; and voila; you have the lock. I got mine from a DI, and got it for free, because the t-case itself was shot. Had British 4x4 change out the front box, just needed seals, gaskets, and fluids. Oh, yeah; and the all-important 04' shifter mechanism.

Good idea. I'll see what I can find through car-parts. They have some cases from 2000s for $75 to $150. and 2004s from $200-$500. I found one with the CDL linkage, but they cut the cable. Is it a big deal to put a new cable on?

No. The important part is the nipple on the box housing. You will never get the shifter and the linkage with the box. They'll just send you the box itself. You have to buy the shifter and the linkage separate. Try to find one out of a DI if you can. Much cheaper. I bought a brand new 04' shifter and linkage, and it cost 400 bucks. More than the labor to swap the t-case out.

I know what you are saying. But this is what I found. The place has a 2004 Tcase with 40k miles. And they also have the shifter (see picture) but they cut that cable. $500 shipped.

Also, swapping the tcase isn't too hard?

That isn't the Actual linkage though.
